A girl’s toys kept disappearing at midnight, so her parents set up a camera to catch the thief!

0

It is perfectly normal to have a child who is frightened at bedtime. I know I was. The thing with me is that most of that fear was probably caused by myself. Back then, I liked to tell ghost stories at night with my friends. We would hang out at one of my friend’s houses and make up scary stories. Why? Well, I think we all liked the adrenaline rush we got.

Some of our stories were very realistic but after all, that’s all that they were, stories. By the time we finished, we each had told a scary story. The time to go home finally came and most of us were a little scared to do so. I remember one evening that we had just finished with our stories. My best friend and neighbor was about 4 years younger than me.

He got scared a lot easier and would ask me to walk him home on my way to my one house. I always agreed, and he felt relieved once he got to his house. I wasn’t that brave myself believe me. I too would get scared after dropping him off and would even run to my own home. I didn’t even want to look back, I just ran all the way there.

When I got home and got in my bed, I would also get scared. Sometimes I could swear I saw shadows reflected on my closet doors. This was, in fact, true. It was because we had a garden with a lot of trees and the tree branches moved and got reflected in the closet. There were more than a few times when I had to sleep with the light on. My father knew this and would go into my room to turn it off when that happened.

Something that reminded me of my own past happened to the Moser family and their two-year-old. They had been experiencing theft in the middle of the night. They didn’t know what was going on because they did not have any pets, either. At first, the parents suspected that her little brother was the author of these thefts, but her parents decided to dig in further.

Initially, her parents told her to lock her door. If someone had been getting inside, this would probably fix it. She locked her door, but the weirdest thing happened. Her toys continued to vanish with no explanation. The family started to get a little bit paranoid about the whole thing. Was this the case of a ghost? They decided to set up a hidden camera to catch the author of these thefts. You won’t believe what the camera recorded!

Stiff upper lip? Not for a baby bulldog banned from the couch

Dogs aren’t mere livestock; they’re part of the family. In fact, it’s easy to forget our canine friends aren’t fellow humans! People love their pets so much that they anthropomorphize them, projecting human-like traits onto them. Needless to say, just when dog is about to be promoted to the rank of honorary human, his or her inner canine will come bursting out, usually at the expense of a flower bed or some unfortunate couch cushion.

The star of the video posted below is a thoroughly adorable baby bulldog named Bentley. He manages to be childlike and doglike at the same time, throwing a temper tantrum but with some canine flourishes.

But first a word about bulldogs. They’re one of the most charming dog breeds, perhaps due to their comical appearance: stubby legs, funny walk, droopy face, and absurd underbite. Bulldogs were first bred in England and have become a national symbol: think of the way cartoonists have used the bulldog to represent Britain, suggesting stubborn determination. Perhaps it’s no coincidence that Winston Churchill, who led Britain through its darkest days, actually looked like a bulldog! Although courageous, bulldogs aren’t aggressive. In fact, their disposition is normally gentle and kind. They get along well with other animals as well as children, making them an ideal family pet.

Bentley, presumably named for the British luxury car, was an adorable 8 week-old when this video was made. The little guy loved hanging out on the couch, but his human dad just put a lot of work into cleaning it and told Bentley he wasn’t allowed up there. The pint-sized bulldog was not amused. He threw a tantrum worthy of a human toddler on a bad day but added some adorable canine flourishes: waving his paws around, barking, and some endearing little whining noises. He really, really wants dad to reconsider!

Corgi chooses the wrong time to give puppy a sniff, makes priceless face

It’s an unholy mix of oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, methane, and volatile sulfur compounds. Some dangerous new chemical? Not exactly. It’s a fart.

Flatulence is something people have always found embarrassing or funny, depending on the circumstances. Flatulence humor seems to have been popular in ancient Greece and Rome. It appeared in medieval English literature and in Renaissance French writing, too. In the 1700s, farting was a staple of political cartoons! Over 1,500 years ago, St. Augustine wrote of a man who could control his flatulence. Scarcely more than a century ago, Frenchman Joseph Pujol turned this “talent” into a career in entertainment!

Dogs are made of the same stuff we are and their digestive systems aren’t fundamentally different from our own. So yes, dogs do indeed pass gas. If a dog is abnormally… productive… there’s most likely a dietary explanation. Low-quality dog foods are often the culprit. Table scraps and foods containing lactose can also cause Fido to break wind. Sometimes it’s the result of a non-obvious food allergy. Dogs probably feel no shame when they let one loose, but we have no way of knowing for sure.

In the video posted below, you’ll see a cute little puppy named Lacie playing with Mac, a very patient corgi. It could be Lacie is spoiled — it’s hard not to spoil our animal friends, after all — because she is being just slightly obnoxious.

Mac is good-natured and takes it all in stride, perhaps thinking to himself, “I can’t wait until you grow up and start acting like a normal dog.” During Lacie’s frenzy, Mac gets a chance to sniff her rear end (that’s just how dogs greet each other) but this turns out to be horribly mistimed. Small though she is, Lacie lets a loud fart rip. The expression on poor Mac’s face is priceless!

Hopefully these two pups will let bygones be bygones. You can admit you giggled in the comments at Facebook. Be sure to like and share: your friends will laugh, too!

No ordinary horses: this ranch is home to the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales

0

The Budweiser Clydesdales are Americana on hooves. The tradition began back in 1933. To celebrate the end of Prohibition, Augustus Busch, Jr. surprised his father with a Budweiser wagon pulled by Clydesdales. Since then, teams of these amazing horses have toured the country, promoting the brand but also giving people a chance to see massive draft horses of the sort that were once the go-to animal for demanding farm work or pulling a heavy load. The Budweiser Clydesdales also appear in television commercials, including special ads made for the Super Bowl.

These aren’t rent-a-horses. Taking an “if you want it done right, do it yourself” approach, the company has been breeding, raising, and training its Clydesdales in-house since 1940. There are currently about 175 of these magnificent horses in the company’s stables. Around 40 are born each year, although not all of them will go on to become official Budweiser Clydesdales. For one thing, only male horses can join the wagon teams. They also need to have the classic look: white on the face and feet and a black mane and tail.

The video posted below will give you at least a little peek at all the work that goes on behind the scenes. You’ll meet Jeff Knapper (job title: General Manager of Clydesdale Operations), who oversees the Warm Springs Ranch in Boonville, Missouri, home base of the Clydesdales. As you’ll see, he really loves the horses and they love him back. John Soto has been working with the Clydesdales for over 30 years. He’s a manager at the Warm Springs Ranch who looks after mares and their foals. As he says, “Even though we don’t see them after they’re two, they were born here. And if you go out on the road… and you see the hitch and those are your babies that we raised, you’ve got to have some pride in that.”

Rescue dogs meet their new owners for the first time – their reactions are incredible

0

It seems the world is always going to have a problem with stray dogs or animals that have been mistreated, abused and cast aside. Sometimes these animals are left for dead, inhumanely killed, or thrown out to fend for themselves. Unfortunately, even healthy and full-of-life dogs can be picked up by high-rate kill centres and they are exterminated – because nobody wants to give them a forever home. This is where Tracy’s Dogs step in.

Barking out of San Antonio, Tracy’s Dogs is a rather unique animal rescue society. A not-for-profit organisation, they actively go to the kill shelters and rescue the dogs who are targeted to be put to sleep. Then they put them up for adoption on their website and can receive as many as 30 to 50 applications for each animal.

Working in conjunction with Petsmart, Tracy’s Dogs offer a sort of travelling roadshow of adopted pups, touring all over the country to set up meet and greets with the animal’s new owners, and unite previously unwanted dogs with loving forever homes.

Tracy began the venture during a period of unemployment, visiting the kill centres and taking photographs of the animals there and then posting them online. She was inundated with requests to save the dogs, and an idea was formed. From humble beginnings, Tracy’s Dogs continue to give thousands of pooches a new lease of life and a new family.

In the video below, the reactions of the new doggy moms and dads are absolutely adorable, and you’re going to want to keep those tissues on hand! The families have never met their new pet, having only seen pictures or video online, so it’s an emotional and exciting moment for everyone involved. You won’t believe what happens as each pooch is handed out to their new owners – there’s not a dry eye in the house!

Watch this incredible footage of this wonderful charity – and give them your support if you can. These animals deserve a second chance at a loving family home – and Tracy’s Dogs is providing a wonderful service to the community – and most importantly – a wonderful service to those beautiful creatures we call dogs. Remember – it’s always better to adopt a dog than it is to buy one because there are so many out there that desperately need our help. Watch and share this video and help get the word out for Tracy and her dogs!

Kitty Litter gadget, allows morning drivers to stay safe.

0

There are two types of personalities in this world night owls and morning persons. I consider myself a morning person but not only for the daily obligations that we frequently have to do. After a while I started to enjoy being up early, the cold of the morning, the smell of a good coffee, toasted bread, and eggs for breakfast are some of the particular sensations that make very appealing this part of the day. As my mom always said “The person who gets up early, takes clear water from the river”, she intended to teach me that morning persons are luckier and take more advantage of the time given.

For those who constantly make an early trip to your jobs, you probably already know a few common issues related to this activity. Routine tasks such as inspecting the air pressure of your tires, checking the oil level of your engine, and more specifically cleaning the foggy windows of your car, can be something to keep in mind when you have to travel before sunrise. Foggy windows can be a little tricky because it may distract you when you are driving, you can choose to take the time to clean up the windows or drive with a substantially reduced vision.

Fortunately, there is a practical solution we want to share with you to avoid this problem, the only two things you will need is a pair of socks and some kitty litter. Although it sounds silly, we assure you there is a perfectly scientific explanation to unravel this trick. Cold air is always dry regarding the fact that water condensates at these temperatures, when the moisture inside the car gets cold a thin layer of tiny drops start to gather on the surface, that’s how foggy windows are formed.

Moisture is the essences of this hack. If we can diminish the humidity of the air located inside your car we would eliminate the foggy windows that block your vision in the morning. That’s how kitty litter becomes the key ingredient for this simple device, the litter is a loose and granular material that absorbs moisture and odors such as the ammonia contained in our pets disposals.

The first thing you will need to do is fill one of the socks with the litter, in case of needing any reinforcement you can use the second one to wrap the initial combo. Once is secured you can place the socks with the litter anywhere inside the car, from the moment you put it in the litter will start to absorb the humidity avoiding the formation of the foggy windows mentioned. Talking about useful gadgets right?

Short legs, one arm, and a malformed hand: no matter, he was there to sing

0

People who were born without all their limbs are not necessarily lacking in determination. In fact, if they have goals they want to achieve, they may have to supply even more determination than a “normal” person would. One determined young man is Emmanuel Kelly. He has abnormally short legs and only one arm with a malformed hand, but this didn’t stop him from going before a huge audience and giving it his all.

The huge audience came courtesy the Australian version of the immensely popular talent-spotting show “The X Factor.” When he came on stage, one of the judges asked Emmanuel how old he was. His reply stunned the judges and the audience. “I’m not exactly sure. When I was originally found in Iraq, in an orphanage, my mum found me, I was born with no birth certificate, no passport, nothing.” He and his brother (who has short legs and no arms) were found in a shoe box near a park and rescued by a nun. At the orphanage, they could hear the frightening and confusing sounds of warfare outside. When their future adoptive mom appeared, Emmanuel remembered her as being like an angel. She took both boys to Australia for surgery and ended up adopting them. As soon as you hear Emmanuel speak, you can tell he’s become an Aussie through and through.

Emmanuel’s dream has always been to become a professional singer. And who knows, he may be on his way, based on his performance of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” The show’s judges and the audience were clearly moved, as were his mom, brother, and other relatives off-stage. As one judge put it, “I don’t think I’ve ever, ever been moved as much as I was from that performance. That was magnificent. Your courage, your bravery is unbelievable.”

How did you like Emmanuel’s interpretation of “Imagine”? Let’s hear from you in the comments at Facebook and be sure to like and share!

Scott Brothers unveil their musical talent with a song about music and family

0

Drew and John Scott may be best known for their HGTV show “Property Brothers,” but their talents also extend to singing. In 2015, they launched “The Scott Brothers,” in which they form a pop / rock / country duo.

The brothers always aspired to be entertainers. In their youth, they had a gig working as clowns for children’s parties, although John transitioned to performing magic tricks and became something of an expert. Although interested in pursuing careers in entertainment, the brothers wanted to avoid going through a “starving artist” phase. Growing up on a ranch, they’d learned quite a lot about home repair, so they went into real estate, buying houses, fixing them up, and then selling them at a profit. They were so good at this that it started to become their real career!

But for all their success in real estate and then on television, they still had other ambitions, including singing. “We grew up on a ranch, spending almost every other day sitting around a camp fire, strumming songs on the guitar, singing songs with our parents. This past year, we were shooting ‘Property Brothers: At Home on The Ranch,’ where we went back to our roots to renovate a friend’s property in the Rockies. While we were doing this, we were talking with a producer and singer-songwriter from Nashville, and we said, ‘You know, while we’re doing this show, we should write a song and pay tribute to how we grew up.'”

The Scott Brothers’ country ballad “Hold On” is an intense and heartfelt ballad that’s all about the importance of family and coming home. They’ve made a beautiful music video, which we’ve posted for you below.

Did you know the Scott brothers were so multi-talented? What did you think of “Hold On”? We’d love to hear from you in the comments at Facebook. Don’t forget to like and share!

Mirror images of ourselves: babies and a dance party in this mineral water ad

0

Combining babies and a dance party was the winning formula for Evian. The bottle water brand produced a hilarious and really cute commercial in which adults regress in a a highly unusual way.

The story of Evian water goes back to 1789 and a spring near the southern edge of Lake Geneva. Count Jean-Charles de Laizer was out for a walk and drank from that spring, located on land owned by Gabriel Crachat. He noticed that the mineral water was not only refreshing and good tasting, but it helped his kidney and liver problems. The water from Crachat’s spring soon developed a reputation for its beneficial effects and within a decade people were flocking to the site to partake of the waters.

The region became part of France in 1860 and four years later, the town was renamed Evian-les-Bains. In 1908, Evian water began to be sold commercially in glass bottles. Although not really out of reach of ordinary consumers, the water has frequently been seen as a luxury item. For instance, it had a place in Agatha Christie’s “Murder on the Orient Express” and is today popular with Hollywood celebrities.

The spring is fed by water from the French Alps. It takes about 15 years for the water to make its way from the mountains, traveling through various sands (which filter it naturally). Whatever the actual health benefits of the water, there’s no question that it’s pure, top-quality mineral water. Interestingly, in light of the commercial, Evian has long been a top seller among water purchased for babies.

Evian’s “Baby & Me” commercial is posted below. Adults walk by a reflective storefront window that obviously has magical properties: the reflections they see are themselves as toddlers! As they move, so the toddler in the mirror moves. It’s almost like the famous nightshirt scene in the Marx Brothers’ “Duck Soup.” A whole group of people gather and a dance party breaks out!

Sorry, the couch is off-limits: baby bulldog's stubborn but adorable tantrum

0

Dogs are such a close part of the family that it’s easy to forget they aren’t human. People love their pets so much they cant help but anthropomorphize them, imagining (rightly or wrongly) that they have certain human-like traits. And of course, just when a dog’s human parent is on the verge declaring their dog an honorary human, Fido’s inner canine will come out, whether that involves digging up a flower bed or shredding a couch cushion.

In the video posted below, you’ll see a baby bulldog who manages to be childlike and doglike at the same time. As you’ll see, there’s something about this that’s thoroughly endearing.

Bulldogs are one of the most charming breeds of dogs. In part, this may be due to their comical appearance: stubby legs, wide stance, droopy face, and hilarious underbite. The breed originated in England and has become something of a national icon. For as long as cartoonists have been using animals to represent countries, Britain has appeared as a bulldog, suggesting stubbornness and determination. The indefatigable Winston Churchill, who led Britain through some of its darkest hours, even looked like a bulldog! Bulldogs are courageous but not aggressive and their kindly disposition makes them excellent family pets. They tend to get along well with children and other animals.

At the time the video was made, Bentley was an adorable 8 week-old bulldog. He really loved being up on the couch, but his human dad had just cleaned it and told Bentley that he was banned for the time being. The little bulldog threw a hilarious little tantrum, just like a human toddler but with some wonderful canine flourishes — paw waving, barking, and some ridiculously cute whining noises. He’s really going all-out to get dad to change his mind!

This magnificent stallion is the most handsome horse in the world

0

Horses are incredible creatures. They’re strong, graceful, intelligent, and without them and all the work they can do, it’s hard to imagine human civilization ever having made much progress. Strength, beauty, and grace have come together in Frederik the Great, quite possibly the most handsome horse in the world.

Frederik is a Friesian, a relatively rare breed that originated in northern Holland, probably in the Middle Ages (possibly even earlier). Friesians are strong and muscular, almost like draft horses, and yet notably elegant in appearance. Once upon a time, they were highly prized as war horses because they were large and strong enough to carry a knight in armor. Nowadays, these handsome horses are more likely to be seen at dressage events or in movies. Frederik’s coat is solid black, typical of Friesians, shiny and impeccably groomed. His flowing mane is spectacular and requires a lot of work: it takes about three hours to wash, condition and dry it!

While he’s named for a Germanic king, Frederik was born in Holland and now lives at a farm set in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Trainers and judges have been quick to notice how intelligent and eager to please Frederik is. But it’s his incredible good looks that have made him an internet sensation, with thousands and thousands of fans all over the world.

There’s more to Frederik than his dashing appearance and noble bearing. According to his owner, Stacy Nazario: “His personality went right along with his looks. He’s just phenomenal. His temperament is sweet. I could put a baby right next to him and he would just be gentle with it. He’s a gentle giant.” Frederik is also a natural showman: “He lights up when he’s in the arena or when there’s photography going on. It’s almost like watching a celebrity, you know, the difference between when they’re at home and under the lights.”

While mom's away, the beagles play? Nope. They wait and wait and wait

0

It’s perfectly normal for our animal friends to miss their humans when they step out of the house. For some animals, it becomes full-blown separation anxiety and they become overwhelmed by panic and dread. A dog with this condition might do things like bark excessively, whine, pace around, damage furniture and other objects, make escape attempts, or drool lavishly. Separation anxiety isn’t a sign of poor training or simple boredom: it’s a deeply ingrained emotional response.

Beagles are one of the most popular and best loved breeds of dogs out there and for good reason, too. They were bred for hunting rabbits and because of this, beagles are very intelligent but single-minded. Beagles make for excellent therapy dogs, not least because of their small size, pleasant demeanor, and non-threatening appearance. Gentle, friendly, and “merry,” these dogs are perfect family pets, too.

What could be better than a pet beagle? How about two? The pet parent who made the video posted below got two of them in part because she hoped they’d keep each other company while she was out. She figured that two dogs would play, have a good time, and provide moral support for each other while a single dog would just mope around all day or possibly develop a case of separation anxiety. To find out if it was working, she set up a video camera. It was only a matter of seconds after she stepped out that the two beagles were already sitting at the front door, looking out the window and letting out the signature beagle howl. They made some more noise and then lay down next to each other, still staring out the window, wondering when mom would finally be home.

Is she going to have to work from home and order everything on-line or is there some other way to help these beagles tough it out? Let’s hear from you in the Facebook comments and be sure to like and share!

Five kids and living the life: he’s a daddy and he knows it!

0

Here’s one dad who has a lot on his plate: a set of triplets and two older boys. Raising just one child is a lot of work and can leave anyone frazzled. How anyone manages with five is one of life’s mysteries. This particular dad found a fun way to let off some steam.

The key ingredient was hip hop. Specifically, “I’m Sexy and I Know It,” from LMFAO, of “Party Rock Album” fame. This 2011 song was a big hit, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks. With 124 beats per minute pounding away, the song is an homage to the British band Right Said Fred’s “I’m Too Sexy” (recall, “I’m too sexy for my shirt…”).

This father of five’s little project was making a really cute and very funny music video, a parody of “I’m Sexy and I know It” called “I’m a Daddy and I Know It” (Mom did the filming, by the way). Dad has a great time showing how he deals with the domestic mayhem five children can cause but we also get to see the fun times they have. It’s a real workout: he trips on toys, juggles diapers, cooks, cleans, does the laundry, you name it. No music video of this sort would be complete without a ride in the mini-van, so of course they all go out to the store. From start to finish, dad’s facial expressions and dance moves are perfect. His five co-stars put on a good show, too.

But you have to see it to believe it, so we’ve posted this outstanding music video below. Chances are you’ll find yourself dancing along with someone who’s a contender for world’s best dad.
