Theme parks are a great way to let loose and have a blast with your friends or family. Things have changed over the years when it comes to the attractions and rides you may see at these exciting establishments.
Coney Island is one of the most iconic theme parks in the United States. It was built in 1895, and many people nicknamed the rides “canned thrills.” The few available attractions may look cheap now, but they cost a pretty penny.
One of the more popular activities involved a mechanical horseback roller coaster. You’d be daft to find any seatbelts or safety regulations in place. The government didn’t pay attention to any of that back then.
It’s shocking to see the footage from 1926 of bumper cars on a moving floor. There was also a giant carousel that didn’t have any safety belts or restraints to keep riders from falling out. Looking back, we’re glad that things have changed and improved so that we can enjoy parks and feel safe.
