Amira Willighagen sings ‘I’ll walk with God’ in a powerful duet with Lukhanyo Moyake

The talented Amira Willighagen is on stage in a beautiful golden dress with a man by her side. She awaits her turn before surprising the audience with an incredible rendition of the famous song ‘I’ll walk with God.’

The operatic teen’s duet partner is none other than Lukhanyo Moyake, a South African tenor. Moyake was introduced to opera while in high school. He decided on opera singing after hearing Pavarotti sing ‘Nessun Dorma’ on CD.

Both of their voices fill up the room as Willighagen and Moyake sing their beautiful and powerful duet. The performance is part of Amira’s Christmas concert titled ‘African Christmas with Amira & friends.’

Willighagen rose to prominence at the young age of nine when she participated in the Dutch version of the televised show Got Talent. In the finale of the show, she impressed everyone with her incredible soprano voice.

The young girl auditioned for the show with the Italian song ‘O mio babbino caro’ from Giacomo Puccini’s opera ‘Gianni Schicchi.’ Upon hearing the girl, the judges couldn’t believe her raw lyrical skill.

The teen opera singer started taking singing lessons after having taught herself through YouTube videos. And after only two years of classes, she won on to win the sixth season of Got Talent in her country with “Nessun Dorma.”
