Those first few milestones of a baby’s life are so precious. It’s important to savor each one. This video features little baby Celeste taking her first bath at only two days old.
Celeste is at the Clinique de la Muette in Paris, France, accompanied by her mother and childcare assistant Sonia Krief. Sonia holds little Celeste in the small tub of water, washing her gently.
She whispers soothing words to the baby in French as Celeste’s mother looks on, glowing with joy. Sonia washes the baby’s face and cradles her delicate little head in her hands.
She dips the baby’s face just under the surface so that her nose and mouth are still exposed. This must be a truly relaxing experience for little Celeste because she stays asleep the whole time.
When bath time is over, Sonia lifts Celeste out of the water. She quickly wraps the baby in a soft white towel to keep her warm, covering her entire body and head.
Little Celeste gives those sweet baby sleep smiles as she dreams about things only babies do, and her mother strokes her cheek lovingly. What a beautiful and calming experience for both mother and baby!
We don’t remember our first bath, but all of us can only hope that it was as tranquil as Celeste’s! Sonia certainly has a gift for maintaining peace and providing loving care.
