Two Adorable Giraffe Babies Meet For The First Time

The San Diego Zoo had two baby giraffes that needed hand-raising. They decided to put them together so they could be best friends.

It’s unusual for a zoo to have two baby giraffes at one time, but this was the case at the San Diego Zoo. Both calves needed to be hand-raised, so once they were big enough, the keepers decided to try an experiment.

They introduced the two babies, named Obe and Yoda, and had them play together for several hours at a time. At first, they didn’t know what to make of each other, but over time they grew to friends and acted like brothers.
