Claiming that Betty White was famous would be an understatement. With a career that spanned eight decades, she was a mainstay in people’s households across multiple generations.
Beginning at the young age of 19 years old, Betty White entered the entertainment industry. Over the years, she featured in talk shows, radio shows, TV shows, game shows and movies.
But Betty White was never shunted to the side. She was and remains a star. In addition to having a loyal and admiring fanbase, Betty White won five Emmy awards.
She was more than just her comprehensive filmography. She was also a thoughtful and wise woman throughout her life. Those who met her knew her as a lovable and vibrant woman, even in her twilight years.
When asked about how she remained so happy even in her later years, she offered, “See the funny side. . . not the downside. I get bored with people that complain. . . It’s such a waste of time.”
Even though she has moved on from our world, Betty White still lives on through her legacy and the words she left behind. Rest in peace, Rose Nylund. We will miss you.
