At 3.25 Ounces, Teeny-Tiny Terrier Might Be the World’s Smallest Dog

Meet little Meysi, a teensy-tiny terrier if there ever was one. She’s not quite  4 inches “tall” and she weighs a mere 3.25 ounces.  As you can see, this darling little angel is small compared to a can of Coke-a-Cola.

“Can you imagine a smaller dog than me?” Despite her minuscule frame, she is described as a small dog with a big personality. Says her mom, Anna, ‘Meysi is not afraid of strangers and is always ready for play.”

Meysi is, in fact, a miracle. She was so small at birth that Anna, who works in a beauty salon for pets, spent almost every hour over the next few days battling to keep Meysi alive. Her weight dropped to perilously and the situation was critical until Anna decided to try feeding her with a syringe. It worked and three months later, Meysi is ‘strong and healthy’.

“She is a lovely little thing but you have to be very careful where you sit and where you walk,” said Anna. “She eats Gerber baby food on her own. You can tell by her round belly that she’s got a good appetite.”

She is still too fragile to play with her brothers and sisters and loves to get lots of delicate attention from Anna, her husband Tomasz, son Dawid, 17, and daughter Angelika, 10. All of the family is especially aware of Meysi’s delicate condition and are exceptionally careful at all times. That little pup is lucky to have such a wonderful, supportive family.

Can you imagine having a dog as small as Meysi? How long do you think a dog that small would last in your house?  Tell us in the discussion section at the bottom of this page.
