Russian artist Roman Booteen works in metal. He creates unique coins, some of which have special mechanics. Such is the case with this coin, which shows you a secret image when you insert the sword into the top of the coin’s edge.
The coin itself is modeled after the famous American coin the Morgan dollar, which was minted in 1921. We are not sure when Booteen created his mechanical homage to the Morgan dollar, but we are oh so very glad he did.
