Shy Boy Brings Judges To Their Feet With Michael Bublé Hit

In the short history of Britain’s Got Talent, there have been a considerable number of very young contestants, especially singing children. Unfortunately, most of them just did not make the cut. The rules do not take age into account, so the odds are stacked against a child who wishes to edge out older singers.

Many young soccer players in the UK are enrolled in special schools for development, but you don’t see them competing against men, do you? The UK is a soccer-crazy country, and now they are crazy about talent!

The contestant in this clip is Ronan Parke, a 12-year-old boy then. Not only was this his first audition, but it was also his first-ever participation in a public event! The song he chose to sing was “Feeling Good” by Michael Bublé. What happened?

Ronan rocked the house! He got an enthusiastic standing ovation from the audience and the judges. “I’m going to predict big things for you. You’re so good. Fantastic!” said one of the judges. “Ronan Parke. Remember that name. He’s going to be a star!”

Ronan would go on to become the runner-up, just missed winning by a thin margin. He got a recording contract out of it and recorded an album that spent many weeks on the UK Albums chart.
