On America’s Got Talent Howie Mandell pressed the Golden Buzzer for what he felt was the most inspiring moment for him in the past year. He did it for the Northwell Health Nurse Choir.
They were made up of 18 nurses who were all front liners in New York. Their singing and dancing were an inspiration to anyone watching. And all their members have incredible voices.
The judges all loved them wholeheartedly. Howie called them heroes, and Simon said that the world needed them. There was a lot of emotion from the nurses upon hearing such positive feedback.
Prior to their performance, the nurses talked about the hard year they had experienced. They had to become the hope for many people, it wasn’t an easy role to take on.
That was the aim of their choir, to spread the message and become a symbol of hope in dark times. No matter what happens there is always light at the end of the tunnel.
Some of them come from a family of nurses, while others claimed it was their destiny to help people. They came together to be strong in such terrifying times.
When they walked off stage some of them grabbed the golden confetti off the ground and threw it into the air. The look of absolute happiness on their faces was heartwarming.
