Sometimes, people let their fears get in the way of their success. 19-year-old Kai The Singer faces her apprehensions on American Idol, and though the road is bumpy at first, her beautiful voice shines through in the end.
Kai The Singer grew up living a difficult life. Her family was in and out of homeless shelters, and there are currently 8 people living in a home with few beds. Regardless of her struggles, Kai is thankful for everything she has.
Her appreciation and gratitude for life are seen throughout her performance. Kai started out singing Ed Sheeran’s ‘Thinking Out Loud,’ but her nerves got the best of her. When the judges asked her to perform a different song, she soulfully sang ‘My Girl’ in combination with her skillful piano playing and absolutely nailed it.
To get where you want to be in life, you have to face your fears and work through different challenges. Kai The Singer effortlessly faced her fears and taught us that there’s more to life than your apprehensions.
