Hungarian Folk Music Incredibly Recreated With A Current Classical Appeal

The Kanneh-Mason family comprises a range of talented musicians, each of different ages, here performing the traditional Hungarian dance song ‘Monti’s Czardas.’ These 18th-century pieces are known for starting out slowly and ending with a fresh, fast tempo – a pace and progression this family carried to perfection.

Having risen to fame in ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, these six performers are each star-worthy in their own right, but young Sheku Kanneh-Mason was the first black musician to win the ‘BBC Young Musician of the Year Award’. The inspirational star even played at the wedding of Prince Harry to Meghan Markle.

Watch the Kanneh-Mason family in their comfort zone, performing a perfect rendition of the ‘Monti’s Czardas’ traditional Hungarian folk dance music. There’s no better way to see these musicians on a more personal level. Piano, violin, and cello come together in a medley that’ll leave you wanting more.
