Fantastic Display of Dance At The Montreal International Jazz Festival

The Lindy Hop is an American dance form that gained popularity in the late 1920s, 30s, and 40s. It is performed to the beat of Jazz Music. Since then, it has evolved with the change of Jazz Music. The Montreal International Jazz Festival features the Montreal Swing Riot, where dancers can attend dance workshops and competitions throughout the show.

The show features the Lindy Hop Jazz dance as well as modern forms of dance, such as breakdance and a variety of other street styles. The show has competitions between Swing dancers that are selected by the Montreal Swing Riot and various forms of street dances.

The winners are chosen by the spectators and are crowned winners of the Invitation Battle. The Montreal Swing Riots puts videos of these dancers on Youtube. However, the video that showcases the competition of the swing dancers vs. The street dancers gets the most views and is more popular.
