Elvis Presley & Martina McBride Share The Stage For ‘Blue Christmas’ Duet

Blue Christmas is a popular Christmas song that has been recorded by Patti LaBelle, Tammy Wynette, Jon Bon Jovi, and others, but none is as great as Elvis Presley’s version. Elvis sang this song live in a famous show in 1968; with his black leather suit, the King of Rock and Roll was in his prime. The fans in the audience were all fawning over the king, crying and swooning. However, they all look a bit old school.

What can we do about this to better appeal to modern youngsters? In 2008, Martina McBride recorded an electronically produced duet with the legendary Elvis performing his song ‘Blue Christmas.’ She was digitally included in footage of Elvis performing “Blue Christmas” on his 1968 Christmas special.

When you see Martina McBride digitally imposed into Elvis’ older video, you won’t believe your eyes. It’s hard to believe that these two people can sing together, but with the help of technology, they can. This is a beautiful rendition of this classic Christmas song with two talented artists, one living and one living in our memories.

“Blue Christmas” brings back many memories from my childhood as we listened to the radio around Christmas time. My father loved Elvis, and every time they played this song, he made us all be quiet. I’m sure he would love this rendition as well. Watch this beautiful singing by this duo below.
