In the middle of a live show, lead singer Thomas Gabriel honored his legendary grandfather Johnny Cash with a cover of ‘Ring of Fire.’
Singer Thomas Gabriel and his band recently honored Gabriel’s grandfather, the late Johnny Cash, with a performance of ‘Ring of Fire.’
Gabriel, who performs with The Thomas Gabriel Band, switched from the band’s original music to his grandfather’s iconic song, much to the delight of the audience.
With a voice that seemed at times to be coming from Cash himself, Gabriel entertained the crowd with a stirring rendition.
He at times implored the audience to sing along with him, creating a rousing tribute to his grandfather.
It was a stunning performance that the audience loved, and it served as a touching homage to the music legend.
