As soon as Cormac Thompson opens his mouth to sing the first note, the reaction is jaw-dropping.
Young Cormac wears a collared shirt and headphones as he sings passionately yet full of control, into a studio microphone.
The soprano sings a song from the renowned Les Miserables. The emotion of his performance is emotional and captivating. This particular rendition is a “charity cover,” meaning that Thompson will use profits from this song to raise money for charity.
Cormac’s website describes him as ‘an extraordinary talent with a beautiful voice to inspire hope in our world.’ We couldn’t have said it better. The little guy is now 13-year-old and has a special heart for other performers.
He’s chosen to give the proceeds from ‘Empty Chairs, Empty Tables” to Acting For Others, an organization that provides financial and emotional support to theater workers.
This group has been hit especially hard during the coronavirus pandemic, and Cormac wants to give back to the people who have been such a special part of his life.
His exceptional song cover has no doubt received much appreciation, and Cormac more than surpassed his goal for the charity. He invites his fans to donate and thanks everyone for their incredible generosity.
Cormac has many other videos of his beautiful music available on YouTube and on his website, cormacthompson.com.
