Toddler’s Vision of Being Held by Jesus After Drowning

In a profoundly moving and faith-affirming incident, a two-year-old child, Max, miraculously survived a near-drowning experience, later revealing to his parents that Jesus held him during those frightening moments. This awe-inspiring account not only underscores the omnipresence of Christ during our most testing times but also resonates with the biblical teaching in Luke 18:27, “The things which are impossible with men, are possible with God.”

Courtney McKee, Max’s mother, shared that her son was not afraid even after nearly drowning in a swimming pool because he felt the comforting presence of Christ. The young child’s affirmation, “When I was in the bottom of that pool, Jesus held me,” is a powerful testament to the divine protection and comfort that Jesus provides, especially to the most innocent and vulnerable among us.

In this harrowing incident, which occurred in July 2019, parents Brandon and Courtney McKee faced their worst nightmare when they received a call informing them that their son, Max, was found unresponsive at the bottom of his grandmother’s swimming pool. The subsequent events were nothing short of miraculous. Max’s older brother, Brody, immediately dropped to his knees and prayed fervently, “God, can you help my little brother? Can you just save him? Can you put your guardian angels around him, Lord?”

Max was eventually revived and rushed to the hospital, where the next 24 hours were deemed crucial for his recovery. With a heart full of hope, the McKee family, along with their pastor and prayer warriors from their community, gathered around Max’s bed, holding hands and invoking the power of the Lord. Miraculously, the following morning, Max showed no signs of neurological deficits, confirming that he was going to be okay.

In the aftermath of this traumatic event, Max confidently shared with his parents that Christ was with him and held him while he was in the swimming pool. He even described the wounds on Jesus’ hands and feet, referring to them as “bobos and scratches.”

Max’s miraculous recovery and his encounter with Jesus serve as a powerful reminder of the enduring truth found in Psalm 91:11, “For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”

The young boy’s declaration, “I’m Max and I’m a miracle,” encapsulates the essence of this incredible story of faith, hope, and divine intervention. It is a testament to the boundless love and protection that God bestows upon His children, even in the face of seemingly insurmountable challenges.
