School bus full of children takes a few moments to brighten grandma’s day

Sometimes it’s the small moments that can turn around a person’s day. For one grandma, that moment happens every day in the late afternoon as the school bus pulls around the corner.

Sandy Reichart, a retired teacher, shared a video of the daily occurrence on her Instagram, saying, “Up at my mom’s again today. Every day when the elementary bus goes by her house, this happens. This makes my mom’s day.”

If you watch closely, you can see some of the kids even opening their windows so they can take the time to say hello. And the grandma makes sure she is there to greet them as they drive past her yard.

Seeing all the joy in these short seconds is contagious, and it’s hard not to start grinning. Even the bus driver gets in on the glee, honking their horn as they drive past.

This little interaction has a lesson. It doesn’t take a lot to have a positive impact on another human being, even if it’s just taking a moment out of your day to say hello.

There is a lesson we can learn from these children and this woman. Kindness begets kindness. By taking those few seconds to wave to that grandmother, those kids improve their days and that woman’s day.

Take some time out of your day to make someone else happy. Do whatever is within your means and abilities. It doesn’t have to take long, but it just might make all the difference for someone else.

Share with your friends because sharing is caring.
