Three ballerinas took the stage, connected to six stick puppets. Their routine was flawlessly beautiful and completely hilarious. Not only did they dance elegantly to classical music, but they also broke it down with some killer hip-hop moves. All in all, it proves that even ballerinas have a sense of humor.
Ballet is the most elegant type of dance, full of dignity and grace. It can also be hilarious, as is the case with this ballet routine featuring three dancers and six puppets. From the moment the dancers come out on stage, the audience is giggling at the contrast between the dignity of the dancers and the silliness of their puppets.
These three dancers maintained their serious facades as they danced with puppets connected to them with sticks. Then the music changed to MC Hammer’s “Can’t Touch This,” Beyonce’s “All The Single Ladies” and Sir Mix-a-Lot’s “Baby Got Back.” Then we saw them break out of their shells and just jam until the classical resumes and they continue their ballet forms.
