Award winning author tells a hilarious story about singing ‘Amazing Grace’

Andy Andrews tells a crowd about his first time singing ‘Amazing Grace’. It’s a funny story that has an unexpected ending.

As a kid, Andy Andrews father was the Minister of Music. Because of this, there was an expectation to know certain songs by heart. One of them was ‘Amazing Grace’, one of the most popular songs of all time.

One day, his father asked him to sing that song in front of everyone present. It was a simple task, and right there was the flaw.

As a 7-year-old, Andy had already sung ‘Amazing Grace’ a million times over. To make things interesting, the young Andy decided to sing the song to the tune of ‘Ghost Riders in the Sky’. It was catchy, and the people in attendance laughed – well except for Andy’s dad.

His father gave him a second chance to sing ‘Amazing Grace’. This particular attempt was the funniest, and inspired a lot of Elvis Presley vibes.

In the end, the 7-year-old Andy never got to sing ‘Amazing Grace’, but he did get to spread joy. Andy is an award-winning author, motivational speaker, and all-around great guy. Whether he is a kid or an adult, Andy is your best chance of a big smile.
