There aren’t many things that are as cute as a sleeping baby. They look so peaceful, and we can only imagine the adorable dreams that they’re having. A father places his newborn baby on the side of his guitar as he quietly sings her a lullaby.
Cody Comer has been playing country music for the majority of his life. As a new dad, he knows how hard it is to get his newborn baby to sleep. When the mother hands the small child over to Comer, he gently places her on the side of his guitar.
She’s leaning against his chest, and he quietly begins to play “You Are My Sunshine.” He says that this method works every time to get her to fall asleep quickly. If only everything that goes along with parenthood was this easy.
We think the verse Psalm 127:3-5 goes perfectly with this story. “Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.”
